MTI MONUMENT DEDICATION
1980

MTI BROY CMSAF LEVITOW
BMT 50th MOH REVIEW STAND -

The NEW MTI Monument is unvailed.
SMSgt Dave Wilhelm and SMSgt Earl Bill do the honors

(note the lack of the AETC HQ building in the background)

To the members of the MTIA - here is the paperwork I used for setting up the monument dedication and the personnel who participated. Diagrams are rough copies I used before making the final copies, which are similar to the one in color. When they wrote about the MTI Monument and who did what, they didn't explain it correctly as far as the dedication ceremony was concerned. CMSgt Robert Carter, AFMTC/SEA tasked me to come up with some kind of ceremony for raising all of the different flags at the dedication, since I was the NCOIC, Drill and Ceremonies for BMT and AFMTC.

Our office selected all of the participants who were assigned to BMT. Chief Carter selected those outside of BMT. It was a collaboration that provided a memorable event. I am just sorry that we did not have someone out there with a movie camera to record it for the archives.

CMSgt (Ret) Milton 'Marty' Martin
