These flags are flown in accordance with Air Education and Training Command Instruction 48-101 and indicate training requirements for hot environments. The weather value may change depending on one’s clothing. Wearing body armor or other impermeable clothing, such as firefighting gear and ground crew ensemble, may change the temperature as much as 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
