BMT SUPERINTENDENTS
Going back to the late 50's & 60's, BMT had a Chief of Stan Eval (CMSgt position) and a Chief of Operations (CMSgt position). Each of these individuals reported to the Deputy Commander for Training. Around 1975 or so, the then Chief of Operations, CMSgt Pat Gardner, was made the first BMT Superintendent. After Chief Gardner, came Chief Sackett, Chief Sanchez, Chief Furey, Chief Eggers, Chief Pollard, Chief Fox, Chief Williams, Chief Blackburn, and Chief Sargent. While our web site lists others to hold this position, they actually held the Chief of Operations position. It operated in an entirely different manner than it is today.
